The 2005 R6 was a major update aimed at more power and better front-end control: new camshafts, larger throttle bodies, revised injection and ignition mapping, and new intake funnels. It gained a fully adjustable inverted fork, lighter 310 mm front discs with radial calipers, a 120/70 front tyre and twin radiator fans.
